PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. Soundtracks have become synonymous with the games themselves, especially the Madden series. As a departure from other games, Madden 10 has decided to throw in some classics as well as current hits - and it will rock you. Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If that ain't enough to sell you on PS3 Madden 10, maybe a history lesson will help. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. Once you've given the older football video games the once-over, you can grasp why people are drooling over PS3 Madden 10. It makes sense that at the beginning of the video game console revolution, there was a huge demand for football video games. Only thing was, video game consoles and cartridges didn't have the capabilities to match the needs of the typical hardcore gamer, so everyone had to take what they could get. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. And since it was the only game in town, this is what passed for the gridiron. The football players look like blocky little robots. There's no getting around that one As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. The sound effects were just brutal. And worse, the screen didn't even scroll. Soon after, this one was given a run for its money with the competition. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Still needed work, though.
The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This one was a big innovation for football video games, and has fans who still swear by it. This one held the top spot for football video game fans forever. Makes sense that it was so revered by the hardcore gamer - it really was the first true attempt to recreate the NFL. Graphics and sound were vastly improved, so for many years, this was the video football game. It's even got a presence in the gaming world today, thanks to its online comeback. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10.
Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. That being said, time to lay off making fun of the older football video games. You get it. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") PS3 Madden 10 is in a whole different stratosphere than its predecessors, and for that, hardcore gamers have every reason to be stoked. Better yet, the reviewers share the same level of PS3 Madden 10 love as the fans, always a good thing. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. No shocker - EA Sports has scored another touchdown with PS3 Madden 10.
Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. In the video game world, PS3 football games begin and end with Madden. And it's where they separate the men from the boys, by letting you duke it out for some serious cash.
Now, PlayStation Madden 10 fans can go toe-to-toe and play video games for money. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
